Hi Martin,

I think you mean Kerio, not Kero, don't you?

All the best

HI Catherine:

I've used AVG professional, and had no issues with it. I'm running jaws
nine. Also used Kero personal firewall and Esset anti virus, which is my
current solution. I also have spyware blaster and windows defender. Dam
good products all.

Hi,

A while ago I installed Eset Smart Security and thought everything was fine
until I got a message from Windows saying Eset Firewall was turned off. It
seems the Eset firewall cannot actually be turned off, so I'm not sure
what's going on there.

I then noticed when I went into the Eset main window that it said "maximum
protection is not ensured for your computer" whereas previously it said
maximum security was on. I went into the settings and pressed the default
button to make it revert to default settings (I hadn't changed any of the
settings anyway but thought I'd try this). It still said maximum security
is not ensured.

So I was worried and uninstalled it. I installed the AVG Internet Security
suite only to find that I couldn't get it to do anything - after installing
it my internet connection wouldn't work and whenever I tried to open AVG it
said it had encountered a problem and needed to close.

I then tried a free online scan for viruses from Kaspersky. It said it
found two viruses but as far as I could tell there wasn't an option to fix
them so I downloaded the demo of Kaspersky. I found I couldn't access it
once it had installed - a dialog came up seemingly asking me either to use
it as a demo or enter a license key. But I couldn't get at the buttons with
JAWS using tab, the JAWS cursor, the context key or whatever I tried.

So I've now uninstalled that and gone back to my old solutions of the free
AVG and an old version of kerio personal firewall. I feel like I'm sitting
on a time bomb and I've only had my computer back for a few weeks after it
last went wrong and had to be reformatted.
So I have a few questions.

1. I understand some people use the AVG Internet Security suite.
Have you had any problems getting at its interface?

2. Has anyone used Kaspersky? If it's just this initial screen which
doesn't seem accessible and I could get someone sighted to get me past that
perhaps I'll give it another go.

3. Anyone seen any good deals for laptops lately?!

Catherine
