Hi Ibrahim,

I just installed NVDA, switched to Eloquence and the pitch change thing
works fine.

The default is 30 percent, which I agree is shrill. So I changed it to 5
percent and it is noticable. I changed it to 1 percent, and it is barely
noticable.

So I don't see a problem here.

If you want to ring me, I can demonstrate.

I still think you have force pitch turned on, this would be the only reason
it wouldn't work.

Thanks.

All the best

Steve

Hi Ibrahim,

Have you got force pitch settings turned on? If so, turn it off and try it
again.

All the best

Hi Steve.

Do you know how you can change the pitch of capital lettre announcement in
NVDA with Eloquence? It's shrill and adjusting the pitch change percentage
in the voice settings dialog box doesn't appear to make a difference here.

Thanks, Ibrahim.

Hi Ian,

I would say it's very responsive. I was surprised at how responsive for a
SAPI synth, but Code Factory are geat for making responsive drivers.
Anyway, try it for yourself, this is a seven day trial. I'll also give the
link to Vocalizer as well, if anyone wants to try it:-

Hi Steve,

Have you tried the SAPI Eloquence voice with any screen reader?
I'm wondering how responsive the voice is through SAPI compared with the
built-in versions.

Cheers.

Ian
