Hi,
To be honest, all synthesisers are going to pronounce things wrong. But it
is so easy to correct, I don't see an issue. You can do it on any device
you have.

Heblo Steve,
Also, its UK accent is like there's something in the mouth, but nothing
more. And I'm not sure why I should start in the dictionary with such basic
words, when I paid for the speech.
Besides, eloquence is the only one who says it this way. Leaves me
wondering.

Hi,
That is correct for the US pronunciation, but not for the UK.
However, don't forget that the program has its own dictionary, so you can
correct it once for all screen readers.

Hello,
Identify. It can say it, but its wrong. I can also provide crash codes off
list, that it can't pronounce for real.

Hello,
Actually, these new human sounding voices are even worse. My problem is
pronunciation of eloquence.

When I was a lawyer, and needed to listen to hundreds of pages of text
day, I found that Eloquence was the best speech to enable me to spot atypo
at a hundred paces and at seventy miles per hour. It was the
Jawsflawless pronunciation which was so good, for example to distinguishbetween
"correct" and "corect" (that time missing an R), and the ability of

alter common words which may have been mispronounced which made it the
speech of choice for me.
That said, I quite understand that others, who may not need that

Eloquence is just so much more precise, so you pretty much know what
Eloquenceyou'll get, in my view.

Hi Chris
It's not a question of pleasing everyone. Of course, it's personal
choice, and I find Eloquence more understandable than current I O S
voices owing to my hearing loss. Why should we not have full access
orderto the full range of synthetic voices covering many platforms in
Eloquence
to meet our personal needs?
Best wishes

Hi Steve,
Have you tried the SAPI Eloquence voice with any screen reader?
I'm wondering how responsive the voice is through SAPI compared
with the built-in versions.
Cheers.
