i find the idea of these type of glasses really interesting, but do you know if
there are plans to have this system but with the coming out shortly new vuzix
glasses.
i ask this as although it interests me i am not keen on the way the AR glasses
look at the minute as they'd be ok to use indoors but you wouldn't want to be
seen walking down the road wearing them.
the vuzix glasses that are coming out are called Blade 3000 and they look just
like a pair of oakley sunglasses yet have everything built into them including
the camera, gps, haptic engines and much more.
they even have Alexa compatibility built in and are capable of pairing with
other similar systems.
there initially coming out at around $1000 which is around $500 less than the
m300's and they expect to be able to sell them for $500 by 2019.
there are another couple of companies that are bringing out AR glasses that
will look just like normal sunglasses, intel have what they call hollow lense
glasses and these are really clever as they actually project directly on to the
retina and they claim that someone with poor vision will see the display
clearly, and Apple are ment to be bringing out their own version of AR glasses
possibly this autumn.
i don't suppose Cyber Eyez would go with the Intel or Apple glasses but as they
already use Vuzix glasses it seemsss logical that they could do a system that
includes the blade 3000 glasses which you'd be happy to wear anywhere plus
there less expensive than the m300's.
