Thanks for your comment. Each of us has to decide whether or not a price is
worth paying and long distance travel is expensive. But nowadays, for a short
trip in a taxi or fish and chips for one you can say good-bye to a fiver. If
you use an expensive note-taker, get as much back from it as you can. My
questionnaire returns showed that most note-taker users could get much more
back than they currently do.
We in AVIOS know how personal budgets are tight. So if you attend our training
day on 6th October, you get free hot drinks and soft drinks during the event
(and the knowledge you take away); and you can have free membership of AVIOS

Note-taker users! we all help each other on these lists; but a training day can
show you so much more about your equipment. It also boosts your awareness and
your confidence to work things out yourself.
Our training and networking day in London on Saturday 6th October is for Hims
and Humanware voice and braille note-takers. Sight & Sound Technology and
Humanware, respectively, have agreed to provide the trainers for the day and
there will be plenty of opportunities for attendees to also share tips with
each other.
The day will be held in London by AVIOS (the Association of Visually Impaired
Office Staff). Please email us for a brochure about the day. We are very
happy to offer users of braille and voice note-takers a chance to get more
benefit from their equipment and share tips with each other.
