Hi again George, , hahaha.
I'm absolutely convinced that you understand my predicament very well George.
Now I knew that you would recognise my description of these cables and sure as
anything, you did; You referred to them as "13 amp UK shaver adaptors " who
else could do this.
Now, where do I buy about 4 of them? but more importantly , where do I buy
about 4 British standard charger adaptors? and how do I refer to those.
Sounds a lot of work and probably about £40. It's just a great shame that
Pauline and I should be put through all of this.
I've plenty of time, and I also doubt that they will fit the British Kyte
standards, when I manage to replace them, in about 2 months time.
It's Not on really, is it George! Next time I'll go to Argos and forget all
about Amazon is my initial thoughts.
Thanks again for shaking some sense into my head., but unfortunately, when I
was out, Pauline posted my parcel off!!!
So all I can do now George, is wait patiently.
Why was this issue never discussed on our list? I really didn't know what was
coming!
Very best wishes.
Andy Logue.
I went to visit an old blind friend and dragged him off to my local pub. Now
that must be an offence if ever there was one.
When I came home, I read you and Jackies messages and imediately got a hold of
Pauline and told her to hold my package back for I know now where to purchase
the right ones along with the correct power cord with the British
them

Hi Andy,
I wouldn't hold my breath.
I bet it's easier to find those 13 amp UK shaver adaptors in your neck of the
woods than elsewhere with all the foreign tourists you have.
George

Hi Jackie.
Earlier today, your advice would fill my heart with hope.
But since then Pauline appears to have boxed up both drives, repacked them
and has downloaded a QR lable.
She is intending to drop the box off at our local PO tomorrow.
But Jacky what a hell of amount of unnecessary hostel for me.
Why oh why did their systems not pick up the fact that I live in the UK, that
I paid in £'s and my home address is in the north west of Scotland.
I'm now scared that this may happen again in the future.
I think I need to know, what the heck did I do wron during my purchase.
I'f Pauline's approach of dealing with this problem does not prove successful
, then I've got your instructions standing by.
Thanks for your advise.
Very appreciate George and your help.
Very best wishes.

Hi Andy
A question and some advice.
Are the two drives powered by mains, or are they powered by your PC? I
have both, so you would need to know this before you do the following:
Contact Amazon Customer Services. You can do this on 0800 279 7234. It
would be helpful to have the order number of the Seagate drives which you can
find in your confirmation Email, or by going to your Returns and Orders on the
Amazon website. If they are mains powered, which it sounds like they are if
there are other plugs in the box, then get confirmation from Amazon Customer
Services as to whether UK plugs should have been supplied. They may be able to
contact the seller on your behalf. I am suspicious that both boxes do not
contain UK plugs, one is unlucky, two is doubtful.
I hope this gives you a starting point.
Kind regards,
Jackie Brown

Subject: [access-uk] Amazon problem guys
Hi all.
I'm currently upgrading quite a lot of electronic equipment and I usually
get my wife to go through all the paperwork, deliveries etc.
This time is extremely difficult because my wife is an NHS manager and is
working flat out at home.
So I cannot always get hold of her to check things out for me when I need
her.
Well, I recently purchased a pair of Seagate 2 TB drives and like all of
the boxes, they have sat here for a while, until today.
So now during unpacking, I discover in both boxes I've got every plug end
adaptor for the world but no UK plug.
I cannot believe this, so after waiting all this time for these items, I
now have to send them back and re-purchase.
Surly when you buy something, Amazon will see your postal address and ship
the appropriate adaptors?
Or did my miss a question, when ordering, which country she lived in?
I need to understand because I want to re-purchase as soon as I can.
Any answers would be very helpful.
Very best wishes.
Andy.
