Hi Jackie

I use my HTC One (M8) as a tablet not as a phone,
mostly for playing music since it has fairly good, built-in, stereo speakers.
I also like the control over voices it offers. I am a big fan of the Eloquence speech that you can purchase for it.
I Have found Talkback works as well as I expected on the apps I have been using.
There is no physical home key, but I find the soft keys for back, home, and recent apps easy enough to locate on the screen.
I also have an adapter that allows me to connect a standard USB keyboard if I want to be able to type a bit more efficiently.

I have been an iPhone user for several years and think I will be sticking to that for my main mobile phone.

Hi Jim

I can't answer your question, unfortunately, but I note you are using the phone
my son has, and the one I had originally wanted to buy for toe-dipping into
Android.  But there were aspects that were not accessible, so I didn't buy it
in the end, and opted instead for the Nexus 6.  With respect to that handset,
it is perfectly acceptable, but I still like the HTC One M8 that my sighted son
still loves.  I really like the sound on it, so just wonder how you get round
it.

Kind regards,

Subject: [access-uk] Amazon Kindle app on Android, how can I stop beeps at page
turns?

Hi I am just revisiting  the Kindle app with Talkback after a month or so.
When I am in continuous reading mode it now seems to beep at frequent
intervals.  I assume this is to indicate page turns.
I can't remember this happening before and I can't find any setting for it.

Any help welcomed.

I have an HTC One (M8) running Marshmallow.
