Hi Edward, I did the triple click voice over off and on, then checked that
Alex was the default dialect, which it is but still no joy??

Hi Mandy,

Have you selected Alex as your default dialect? You need to go into
settings/general/accessibility/Voiceover/speech in order to do that.  If you
have and it doesn't work, try restarting Voiceover, perhaps by using triple
click home if you have set this up to load and unload Voiceover.
