I find Alex makes dreadful mistakes with my dictation Mandy and he even says words or letters after the dictation not included, yet they are not there on review. He even seems to get a hicup! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mandy Palmer" <mandy.palmer@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Eleanor, for some reason, I was fiddling with the voices again and Alex
started speaking......Not that I like him very much now I've got him! So I
will try it for a few days and see how I get on! Thanks for all the help.
Mandy

You have to reboot the phone and select Alex agtain from the roter, at least
that is what I had to do.

Hi Mandy,

Have you selected Alex as your default dialect? You need to go into
settings/general/accessibility/Voiceover/speech in order to do that.
If you have and it doesn't work, try restarting Voiceover, perhaps by
using triple click home if you have set this up to load and unload
Voiceover.

Cheers,

Ed

Hi,
I upgraded my phone yesterday and downloaded the Alex voice. I have
an Ifone
5 S. I normally have it on the English voice and I downloaded the
enhanced quality, then decided to download Alex but it won't change
from the English voice. I restarted the phone but still it stayed on
the English voice. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
Mandy
