Hi,

I usually put the iPhone onto the page or book, so the camera is in the
middle, then slowly lift it vertically about 9 - 12 inches up off the page,
then snap the picture.... Works well...

Regards,

Hello,

Rather than using sighted help. You could try using a cardboard box about a
12 inches or 30cm tall like the stand scan. Ensure it has enough light. You
could shine a light into it.

The standscan has helped a lot of visually impaired understand the basics of
OCR. Going by the discussion on various email lists.
