I think you will have to sit with the dam thing.  I can't see it knowing
where each label ends.  The dymo machines do it with a light source I think,
something like that, as each label is on its own island.

that's very interesting. i spoke to dymo earlier today. the guy was helpful,
but the software wasn't. they're on 8.5.1 now, and still haven't fixed the
issues that were reported. also, dymo printers don't appear to print on
continuous tape. they have pre-cut labels that you can buy. brother printers
do print on a continuous roles. i'm considering the brother QL500A, but the
only put off at the moment is the fact that its got a manual cutter. what
i'm trying to figure out is if i'll have to sit next to it and cut each
label manually when its printing, or if it marks the role so you can cut
them with scissors if its printing labels continuously. there's always
something...
