can i suggest iceows as a RAR extractor.
Mandy, not sure how tech literate you are so apologies if this is majorly
patronising.
RAR files are not sound files. They are like zip files, they are shrunken
down files that need to first be decompressed with some decompression
software before you can listen to them with your media player. Iceows is
free and works well for me. I've had it for years.
