As I have said elsewhere, you should be ok with JAWS 4 and higher. The 
default accessibility settings for the Adobe reader program should see you 
through most documents you are likely to encounter. If you need any further 
help, the list is here to be asked.

Hi Jackie

Thank you for the  Adobe website details.
Does it make any difference version of Jaws used?
I may  get all this  sorted out when I have my new set up for scanner, as
the
county  council has agreed to fund 2 days of training.
So once the scanner and jaws is sorted out  hopefully there will then be
time
to learn  how to download, install, and use PDF files.

My  computer skills are definitely below average!
I think it's down to fact  I am often afraid  to try something new,
becausem  worried something will go wrong and then unable to put it right.


Funny thing is,  I am very confident when it comes to mobility out and
about,  but far less  confident when it comes to the computer.
