Hi,

Your user account needs to be set to administrator. It is probably that yours
is not. Go into Users and Change User Account and check what yours is set to.
If it is standard, then you are not an admin.

All the best

Steve

Hello Roger,

I am in a similar position and have not yet found a solution, so I hope someone
can come up with one. I am trying to delete folders which I am unable to delete
because despite being a single user with administrator privileges, Windows does
not allow me to delete the folders. I am trying to abolish Panda Security
software; I guess the developers have put obstructions in my way.

Regards,

Mike

Hi All
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
I’ve just done a full scan with Spybot S&D and when I tried to fix the errors
found it told me I wasn’t the Administrator and to elevate my status to enable
the fixes to be made. I am the single user of this computer so not too sure
what is meant here. How do I actually become the Administrator?
Many thanks
Roger
