I second George's comments. I ran 512 megs with XP for a long while and it was hard whilst using Supernova as well. I was constantly freezing with overload. I added a 1 gig strip at the beginning of the year and now have 1.5 gig and have never frozen since. I would also seriously re-consider PC World. Fitting RAM is a simple fast job but PC World would need to send it to their Mastercare workshops which would mean about a week before you got it back. Look for a shop with engineers on the premises who would do the work almost while you wait. Alternatively engineers advertise in the local papers constantly. Roger Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Christopher Hallsworth" <chrishallsworth@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>; <blindtech@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, May 14, 2007 9:55 PM Subject: [access-uk] Adding RAM > Hi all, > Sorry for the cross posting, but I'd like to know the following: > I currently have 256 MB of RAM in this Toshiba laptop and I'm > considering taking it to a computer store like PC World so that they can > add another 256 MB so that I have a total of 512 MB of RAM.
