Great, great, great! Brian, you realise that then the text reads automatically in the next message?? Just do your best and that will be fine! -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Brian Hartgen Sent: 28 August 2004 12:31 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Added feature to outlook scripts Hi No problems, I'll make it happen. People should hold off downloading the aforementioned update then until later this evening by which time the pressing of the delete key will be there. As Carol says, it works in Outlook Express but not in Outlook at the moment by default. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Carol Pearson Sent: 28 August 2004 12:15 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Added feature to outlook scripts You're both right! Brian, that's how it works with Outlook. Ray, you're right: The Outlook Express scripts enable one to use the DEL key to delete whilst reading messages. I love that and it means you press just one key to read continuously, until you want to respond to a message. Is that possible, Brian? -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ray's Home Sent: 28 August 2004 12:04 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Added feature to outlook scripts Thanks for that Brian. Yes, I know that delete key deletes a message in list view. Its just that I was under the impression that many JFW users were accustomed to using the DEL key when viewing a message. So, anyone, am I right? Delete is used when Control+in the list of messages when you are browsing through them. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ray's Home Sent: 28 August 2004 11:41 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Added feature to outlook scripts Hi Brian, or who ever wants to reply. Control-D? So, do your scripts not utilise the DEL key as I believe that's what many JFW users have got used to? Or is DEL an alternative? Interested in this one as I for one prefer to stick to a native command, such as Control-D in Outlook for deletion. When you are viewing a message, and you press control+D to delete it, the next message will be read automatically if the scripts have been set to read messages automatically. In addition, if the option in the scripts has been set to read author and subject headers, these too will be read. http://www.tandt-consultancy.com/OutlookScripts.exe Brian Hartgen ** Going on holiday and want to halt messages?
