So is there an alternative apart from the N91 or BookCourier or
something that needs Rockbox? Is BookCourier better than the Milestone
for music?
Mandy.

In short Mandy, no, not if you're primary use for it would be music. You
can't store music files on the internal memory which is, in any case,
only 32MB I think. I use mine with the daisy add-on mainly for Talking
books.=20

Hi Ian.

I'm not very technical so hope I can explain myself properly please bear
with me.

Am I right in thinking there are six folders and only the last is not
named but you can change these by voicing the names? Can you create
sub-folders within these: for instance I might want to name one folder
"Jamie Cullum" could I then have the albums titled within that folder as
I can on the computer or on my Iriver? =20 Does the Milestone Title
albums and tracks that you put on?

How many albums: say can you put onto the internal memory and what
cards can you buy?

Do you think it is good as an MP3 player or do you use it for books
which I do not use?

Are you able to alter much within playback does it sound good and does
it play back in stereo?

Think that's it for now. In short, would you recommend it solely as an
MP3 player?

My Iriver works: when it works it is great but it seems to cut out
quite regularly I am sure it is because of Rockbox and am unwilling to
purchase another player that needs Rockbox.

Mandy.

Hi All.

Is anybody on here using a Milestone 31@ I am thinking of buying one as
a backup with my Iriver. I know a bit about it, have seen one and now
there's an American review but there are things I would want to ask
before purchase.

Mandy.

Hi Gena,

The 6630 plays MP3 files already. You can download players from them
such as the Psiloc one http://www.psiloc.com, but they are not very
good, and they are mono. The 6630 does however, play MP3's and let you
assign them as ringtones. The music player is not very advanced though,
not like the newer generation phones, like the N73 and N91 etc.=3D20

All the best

Hi

Sorry, haven't read all of these messages. Are you saying that you have
=3D3D the 6630? And that you've found some software that enables you to
play =3D3D mp3 files? Could you post the details?

Cheers

Good news! I decided to try putting audible air on my phone (I actually
ended up with audible manager, don't know what the difference
is) and once I'd freed up some memory it worked and I can play audible
files. My SD card is so small it will only hold 2 hours of audio, but
I've just bought a 2GB one from eBay so I'm happy. I also bought a new
battery in case mine is faulty and that is why it runs down so quickly.
So in a couple of days I'll have a fully functioning accessible audible
player.

Thanks for all your help.
