George, thanks, but I suddenly feel very pessimistic (smile). When a UK
organisation like RNIB or TNAUK get hold of something like this, it either
never comes to anything, or, when it does, it ends up being completely
different from what it started off as. The other thing is that you never ever
seem to come across people who trial these innovations.
Anyway thanks for the info. I've visited the site Terry gave me and have
contacted the company. I'll post back if anyone is interested if I get any
info.

What I'm looking for is something I can use independently of the PC. I know
there are lots of Internet radios on the market now, but how to access them is
another matter. I want stuff abroad, certainly outwith what DAB has to offer.
I enjoy a lot of European stations, even though I can't speak the languages. I
just reckon music has a much more diverse slant in other countries, instead of
all the British stations playing the same thing. We've got an old analogue Sky
system, but because we've got a Sky digital system on the go, I don't think our
neighbours would be happy to see us putting up our old dish as well. Ian has
got it going in the garden, but we wouldn't leave it just propped up somewhere.
Shame, as there are a lot of music stations still playing that the digital
services don't cover of course.

No, I didn't mean that software. I was referring to an actual radio that
is supposed to be accessible, and made in Holland apparently, with DAISY
features. But it's the radio side of it that interests me, and what we might
be able to access from it. This was covered on here a while ago, but I can't
search for it as I don't know the name, and only recall Soundings doing
something. Yet I can't locate it on their site, and I'm sure I'm not dreaming
(smile).

If you go to:
and click on the link titled:
Download Web IE Now, and click it you'll get the installation for this
prog.
The download contains a number of smaller programmes such as BBC Live
Radio: BBC Listen Again: Accessible Podcather and RSS Reader along with a
couple of other smaller things.
When you are installing you get an opertunity to check the programmes
you want and leave the ones you don't want. For example, I use Internet
Explorer and Google so I did not install the Web Browser.
