Hi, I'm using a satelite tuner card in a small silent media centre PC using Windows 7 and media centre. Far more accessible than any set top box out there I think.

Hi Peter,

You mentioned using accessible free sat equipment. Could you please let me know which Freesat box you're using and how accessible it is.

Regards.

Ian

I don't think the sky talker works properly with the Sky HD service yet. But when it does work, it does make it easier to record and playback but it's not that great. It only tells you the programme details you are watching. I've actually cancelled my sky subscription on that basis as I found accessible free sat equipment was more useful and meant I could watch more tv even though less is on offer because I can read the guide, set series links and deal with clashes etc.

Hi all,
New to this list.
As a totally blind subscriber to Sky TV since their digital service started I would like to know what people think of the Sky Talker. I recently got the HD service with the Sky plus box for the family but would like to be able to
record and replay items better than I can at the moment.
Kind regards to all
