Things are indeed changing with Listen again, and I believe one or two radio channelsare moving to the new service tomorrow. I believe the Real Streams will continue for some time but not as the default service.

A question to Alistair: isn't the new service using something other than Real Audio format? I believe Listen Again will use mp4 (AAC) as the format with much higher quality sound. In fact if you can use the new IPlayer at:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer

you will hear this for yourself.

The embedded Flash Player is so far only minimally accessible, with no accessible means of moving within a stream, but there's a good chance this will be improved upon eventually, but why not at launch, I ask myself. You have to ask yourself why almost everyone overlooks accessability, even the Beeb with its commitment to serving all of its listeners and viewers.

Ray.

I've not been following this thread, but have just gone on to the radio2
website, and using the links, got to last Thursday's Bob Dylan's 'theme show
happy hour' and was able to "listen again" no problem! -
