Hi Barry,
I can’t wait for Q to come on phones as well, because it is fantastic to be
able to watch something in one room, pause it, and pick up exactly where you
left off in another room, or on your tablet.
Q is definitely the way to go if you have a tablet.
All the best
Steve

Good point, Steve. I also heard something about a cut-off point for getting
Sky Plus where new customers will only be able to get Sky Q, which costs an
extra £17 per month. There are some really good start up deals though. Same
thing applies if you change your package. I don’t know when this cut-off point
is. It might have gone or it might be some time soon.
Cheers
Barry

Hi Barry,
The only exception to this, as I said to Sarah in a previous message, is Sky Q.
It cannot be controlled by phones yet.
All the best

Hi Sarah
The Sky apps are very accessible with Voice Over. Not only can you control
your Sky HD box with the Sky Plus app, you can access your account through the
Sky Services app and watch tv through their Sky Go app. Also, if you do have
any problems, there is a dedicated Sky accessibility services helpline on 03442
410 333. With this, you talk to a human straight away without having to go
through any automated phone system. You do have to register with them though.
Cheers
Barry

Subject: [access-uk] Accessibility of sky iOS apps
Hi all,
New to this list so sorry if this has already been asked recently.
I currently have virgin media and use their TVs anywhere app well with
voiceover. I'm considering switching to sky but don't know about how well sky
tv apps work with voiceover.
Any feedback k greatfully received.
Sarah
