Hi Steve,

Does the Qobuz IOS app have the ability to stream to a  device like my streamer I couldn't see anything like a settings menu. Are you connecting to your Bluesound speakers via Airplay or Bluetooth.

Hi,

Qobuz is now accessible on both iOS and Android.

Also, I use Qobuz with my Bluesound speaker system.  You can also if you have
Sonos.

And yes, you can only stream to Spotify Enabled streaming devices with a
premium account.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve,

I loaded the Spotify App on my Ipad and had a look in settings/devices and sure
enough my NAIM streamer and Muso speaker showed up. Unfortunately they both
said Premium only so I guess if I  do what you suggest I  will still have to
subscribe before I can try it out.

Tidal and Qobuz are both higher quality as you say but their accessability is
not good albeit I haven't tried their IOS Apps for a year or so. I do use Qobuz
for purchasing  downloads and for that they are pretty accessable on the pC.

I'll go and have another look at the Qobuz App and see if it can stream to an
external device as the Spotify App can though really I would prefer to use a
single streaming service across all my devices and the Echo doesn't support
Qobuz or Tidal of course.

I  heard a rumour that there was an Alexa skill that enabled you to stream from
a music source/server on your local home network but I haven't yet managed to
find it in the Alexa skills store. Have you or anyone else heard of this?

Until you mentioned it, I never even heard of Qobuz which by the way sounds
like a social netfork for professionals *smile*.

Tidal and Qobuz are better than either.  Higher quality.

I adore Spotify! So much better than Apple Music, in my opinion.

Subject: [access-uk] Accessibility of devices using Spotify connect
for streaming

Hi all,

Like many devices these days my music streamer on my Hi Fi system
supports the Spotify Connect software to provide access to the
Spotify music streaming service.

In order to use Spotify Connect on a device you have to sign up for
the paid Spotify service and before doing so I wanted to check out
with other list members if any of you were already using this access
method and indeed if it was accessable to a  VI user.

I access my streamer via an App on my Ipad which is on the whole
pretty accessable but have learned the hard way that this does not
necessarily mean that it follows that access to music streaming
services is possible.  I tried Tidal and found it a nightmare to use,
both on my streaming device App and on my PC, even the access to
customer services to complain was inaccessable.

Any feedback welcome

Gary
