OK, there's an organisation which I think is part of ancestry.com, its based
in California if my memory serves me and they host loads and loads of
mailing lists with connections to family history, there are lists ofr most
counties, some larger towns, surnames and other associated topics, if you
stick rootsweb in google it should bring it up, if you get stuck let me know
and I'll go and hunt out the link for you.
I sub to a bucket load of their lists!!
