Hi Maureen.Do you not have a talks enabled mobile phone? I realize that you are annoyed, but unfortunately crimes concerning online fraud are on the increase and banks must protect both themselves and their customers. 10 years ago, a problem like this would raise an outcry, but text messages are the norm today and many blind people can access them using a talking phone so there is no access issue.

Hi. Is there anyone else out there that uses Abbey on-line banking? I wasshocked to hear that they are intending introducing a security number whichthey send to your mobile in order to make certtain changes or creating newpayments to your account. I e-mailed them explaining I was blind and that I would be unable to read a text sent to my mobile and was just told to use ahigh street branch or phone when I needed to do anything. Surely, I am entitled to use the internet like a sighted customer? Any advice or opinion would be gratefully received.
