hi everyone,
I don't really understand this. I've been receiving a spate of those
e-mails with suspicious attachments in them that I thought AVG was supposed
to remove once they got into the inbox.

I've had a look at AVG. the the e-mail scanner is activated and functional
according to AVG as all of the other systems on aVG.

I've had a closer look at the e-mail protection thing. in the control
centre, e-mail scanner tab, all boxes are ticked (checking incoming,
outgoing mail and certifying incoming and outgoing mail).
in the advanced settings incoming mail tab, all boxes checked eccept "with
attachments only". outgoing mail tab; the same check boxes checked as in
incoming mail. Notification tab; the check box to "display warning window"
is check but, I've not set a sound to play when a virus is detected. In
certification tab; it has written "incoming/outgoing is certified virus
free!.

it all seems to be right as it should be. However, just a reminder that,
suspicious attachements are still coming in and I don't think AVG is
detecting them. When i send out mail, there is no certification notice at
the bottom of the e-mail like there is everyone else who uses AVG.

Yes, My AVG copy is always up to date. I use Zone Alarm free edition too.

So, does any know anything I've left off? not done to rectify this? is,
what I got just a bad copy and need to download a fresh one?

thanks everyone,

Justin
