I know there's a way to repair it but can't tell you what it is. The other thing I've seen in the docs is that you're not supposed to rename the In-box, though I personally have played around and done that to get all my messages on many occasions. Now, if you have the latest version, you can import from other programmes, which may be useful to you. You can also carry out other little tweaks, renaming of files etc., which put you back where you want to be. I'm probably not really able to help you for a few days but, if you haven't solved your problem by mid week (when hopefully I may be feeling better and free of these awful infections) I'll gladly help you. -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of G. McFarlane Sent: 11 August 2004 22:13 To: Jaws UK; access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] AVG and Jaws Hi I've noticed before that when AVG finds a virus my Jaws goes silent. Usually using Narrator I can get past this. I loaded on SP2 yesterday and it worked fairly well. (A couple of crashes here and there - could be caused by something else possibly) However today jaws went silent every time I went into Outlook Express and so I assumed another virus had been found by AVG. But on loading Narrator on rebooting and entering OE again I got no feedback at all. I eventually went into the folder with the DBX files and renamed my IInbox file so that I could deal with it later. This worked but I would like to sort out this renamed folder. Has anyone come up with a solution to dealing with viruses when silence reigns? Gordon McFarlane ** Going on holiday and want to halt messages?
