Hi Jackie and all, Grisoft, the makers of AVG, are fully aware of the JAWS issue, and hope to rectify it as soon as possible, and they sincerely apologized for the inconvenience. Hi CatherineYou are a star, many many thanks. This was indeed the problem. I unloaded the latest version of JAWS and went into AVG Free 8.0, then put JAWS back in. Of course there was no error message, and I found myself in the interface of AVG. I was then able to customise the scheduling features as I do with all AVG versions, and my computer is now doing a full scan to itself.I will report this problem as it needs to be sorted out. There is undoubtedly a conflict between JAWS 8.0 and JAWS 9.0 with AVG Free 8.0. Having said that, once you get into it, JAWS does speak the various boxes and it is ok to customise.Thanks again very much indeed.
