Hi Christopher Actually it came from a program I downloaded from a friends computer. I later found out she got it from a P2P network. I thought I'd stopped it but it seems not as AVG found it on the next scan. It seems AVG puts it into the System Information area which is restricted to people like me. Although it is neutralised it will keep coming up on each scan. The answer I've now found is to turn off System Restore, reboot the machine and then turn back on System Restore. This effectively wipes the files from System Information and no longer shows up in scans. Roger Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Christopher Hallsworth" <chrishallsworth@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, May 21, 2007 9:24 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: AVG Again > All I know is that the most likely cause of this behaviour is the fact > you had Messenger Plus! installed with the sponsor programme installed. > It is the sponsor programme that produces trojans, not Messenger Plus! > Itself.
