All I know is that the most likely cause of this behaviour is the fact you had Messenger Plus! installed with the sponsor programme installed. It is the sponsor programme that produces trojans, not Messenger Plus! Itself. So if you have the sponsor programme, uninstall Messenger Plus!, remove any files and/or folders relating to Messenger Plus!, such as the main programme directory, then reinstall Messenger Plus! but this time without the sponsor programme. All should be well again. If this isn't the case, then try updating your AVG to the latest version, which is 7.5. This seems to handle trojans much better than previous versions. Good luck.
