Well, Brian, if you're calling them, they're not rectifying the problem,
are they? What do they tell you?

I'll certainly call on Monday. Thanks for the number.

Hi,
This has been happening on and off for the last few months. I always
inform the TV company you can call ITV on 0870 600 6766 and press
option 4 in the menu. As they do log it and do take notice.

Brian.

Subject: AUDIO DESCRIPTION - OR THE LACK OF IT!

Hi all,

I am interested to learn whether there was any audio description for
you, in your area, using whatever equipment you have, for both
"Coronation Street" and "The Bill" on ITV on Wednesday evening of this
week. We didn't have any and, alas, we have to say that this is the
second time we've found it to be lacking in the last two months, with no
explanation or apology. I am therefore very interested to learn whether
or not you experienced this as well.

In addition, we have some views now about the quality (or sometimes lack
of it) of audio description given by ITV and BBC. Does anyone know who
is now dealing with this at the RNIB, if anyone? If not then we'll have
to take it up with each company individually, unless there's a better
idea from all of you!

I have two final comments. First, we're still very happy with our
DIGITV card from NEBULA Electronics which makes our digital and AD
experience generally good. Also, we'd very much like to strengthen the
view that we'd now like new films to be audio described as a matter of
course, if at all possible. Maybe some of you would like to join us in
this.

Thanks for any suggestions and responses you can give.
