Hi,

Asda's fine with Window-Eyes from what I can see.

All the best

Hi Alistair

Using JAWS 14 and IE9 on a Win7 64 bit machine.

Like you, I’ve been using ASDA successfully for a while. Bit clunky and slow
but accessible. I’ve just taken a quick look at the new site and I have
experienced the same as you when clicking on the link to take us to the old
site. It doesn’t!

They might have lovely new and bigger pictures but the new site is a horror for
screen reader users.

You can’t book a slot as the table doesn’t work like a table.

The add to basket button doesn’t tell you it’s a button so you have to guess.

Individual products do not have a navigable element like a heading or list item
so we would have to down arrow till the cows come home or your hand falls off!

Loads of “Same page” links that aren’t.

OK, by now I’ve lost the will to live!

I’m going back to Sainsbury’s Who are my favourite accessible grocery shopping
site!

Will be writing to ASDA this evening to tell them they’ve lost my business!

Sounds of wee woman stomping off in the huff!

Hi folks have been happily using the Asda grocery site successfully for a
couple of years now, just logged on only to find they have updated their site
and it is not accessible! They do say:

If you have specific accessibility needs it may be best to continue to use the
old site.

Trouble is, when you click on the link to the alleged old site it just takes
you to the new one!Oh what fun! Anyone else had the same problems?don’t want to
fire off complaining e mails till I’m sure it is n’t just me. Why do they have
to bugger around with these things!

GRRRR!
