Hello all,

Some years ago, I purchased an A.P.H. Handi cassette 2 recorder, from Hagger
Electronics. It has served very well, but the player is nearing the end of it's
days. Hagger no longer import them.

I have purchased a new one directly from A.P.H., the transformer supplied is
obviously for the American 120 volts network. I am able to use the old 240
volts transformer for the moment, but the usual weak point of the transformer
cable, where the power supply socket fits into the recorder, will ultimately
snap internally.

Does anyone know if there are any commercially available transformers that will
fit the Handi 2, and also work with the 240 volts U.K. network? Alternatively,
are there any adaptors, which can sit between the standard 3 rectangular pins
wall socket, and accept the A.P.H. 2 rectangular pins, while transforming the
U.K. 240 volts down to the 120 volts, which the newly purchased transformer
needs?

Paul Benson.
