Yes, thanks Steve. the perge certainly works with the phone but messages that are even waiting for purging don't then show up on the Sense; and messages deleted from the Sense don't show up on the phone. They do show up on the PC. I'll check a few other settings anyway or just go on deleting from the PC which I use the least often these days. Thanks for your thoughts.
