To be honest, I am torn between these and the sony headphones however due to my
negative experience the app, it put me off. I may well get these after all as
they are reasonably priced and my plantronics are of their way out

I don't think these headphones are designed for that, they are more designed
for music/hi-fi quality. With that in mind, they blow Plantronics away.

Thank you very much for your email. I had asked this question on Amazon as
well, apparently someone has tested this and they use the headset profile so
call quality is on a par with my Plantronics headphones, that is to say
phone call quality rather than HD. This means I will not be buying these
headphones as I want something with high definition as I plan to use them
with services like Aira and Be My Eyes Skype, Zoom et cetera.
