Andy, have you considered the Sky Plus box?
Here you can record two different programmes simultaneously while watching a
previously recorded programme if you wish!
I've got no Idea about the cost for this, especially as you're running an
extra box, but it would certainly solve your recording one program while
watching another problem. Sorry, that sentence is very clunky!
