Hi Steve.
That's actually been around since Windows 7 so not new in Windows 10...
Regards.

Yes, Windows 10 is much better like that, you can read the information in
separate columns.
To be honest, Window-Eyes drove me mad when it did that, so I prefer the
JAWS approach.

I too have needed to migrate from Window-eyes to Jaws.
When wanting the information you are querying, I right-arrow and it will
then tell me the file type, date etc.

I suspect there is a command in the view menu

Subject: [access-uk] A question about folders and files in windows 10
Hi all,
I am using Windows 10 and Jaws 2018 on a laptop. Now I am new to both
Windows 10 and Jaws, so I have got a lot to learn, about both. So please can
someone tell me before I go mad, why when I arrow up and down in a folder,
Jaws is only announcing the name of what I am focused on, and it is not
giving me any other information, like if it is a file or folder, and it is
also not announcing the date. When I was using Window-Eyes, it always gave
me all this information. So please what have I got to do to get Jaws to
speake all this information. Thanks in advance for any help you can give, a
very frustrated Windows 10 and Jaws user.
All the best
Petrina
