There is a piece of software provided for 2003 to read later versions of word. 
Usually Microsoft directs you to a link to download this when you attempt to 
open a document file created in a later version. Did this not happen? Once you 
install the software and manage to open the file. You will then need to save it 
in Word 2003.

I have been sent a document with a .docx file extension. Please can anyone 
tell me what I can use to open this file, only my version of Microsoft Word 
2003, wont open it. Thanks in advance for any help.
