Hi Clive.
Audio description can varie where you live, for instance if you live outside of
London, you have to access the regional channels for BBC using the channels in
the upper 900 region to access AD for some reason. I am in London so don't
face this particular problem however I can imagine it can be annoying and
frustrating when something that is seeming described is not on the broadcast
you are watching. Enjoy the film, I bought it on DVD and the release I got my
hands on didn't come with AD either, strange as some have reported it as having
AD on copies they owned.
All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi,
I've just checked the IPlayer page, and it's audio-described there.
Looking at the Sky channel listings online, it would seem that BBC2 is
audio-described on channels 102 and 969. However, there was no such description
on 102 when I tried it during I Daniel Blake last night. It would seem strange
that a programme with Audio-Description on BBC IPlayer would not include
audio-description when it went to air, but it looks as if this (just) might
have happened here. Anyway, I don't have to worry for my own personal viewing
of the film now that I have picked up the IPlayer version. Strange though.
Best,
Clive

But it is AD on BBC iPlayer.

Also to confirm that I, Daniel Blake, is not audio described.

I’d say the problem about the imbalance of sound is quite a common one; Idon’t know why as technically it shouldn’t be that difficult a problem to
solve.
