Yusuf and Barry, thanks for the replies.I went to check the DSP output plug-in as Yusuf suggested, but thought I'd fire up a file before hand to see if I could notice any changes in the audio, should I make any changes settings wise.
Needn't have worried. There it was, everything as clear and uncorrupted as before. Absolutely no idea what was going on, but all's well now.

Hi Darren, Never experienced this. How about trying a System Restore? Especially ifthis just started happening today. You could roll the machine back to lastnight. Shout if you need steps on how to do this. Cheers, Barry.-----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Darran Ross Sent: Thursday, October 07, 2010 4:05 PM To: Access-UK Subject: [access-uk] A Winamp Question Hi List. I'm hoping there's someone on here who knows their way around Winamp, and in particular, Winamp playback problems! I'm currently using the pro version of 5.581, and although I'm not aware of having tampered with any settings, I'm now getting a sound on playback that I'll do my best to describe. It sounds like everything's being played through a heavy shower of rain! I can't think of any other way to try and put this across. Has anyone ever experienced this with Winamp, and then discovered how to fix the problem? In case its relevant, the only other type of sound recording or audio playback software installed is Total Recorder. Many thanks for any advice.
