Could it be that whilst having her PC repaired they have installed newer
versions o the software she is using thus creating some kind of inaccessibility
with JAWS 7. Even JAWS 12 is having issues with some of the newer versions of
software.

Hi All. I'm new to this list and am posting to try and solve an annoying
issue a friend of mine has with jaws, in the hope that one of you experts may
be able to help.

... and yes, you did read right in the subject line - she is in fact running
jaws 7, but the issue she has only came to light recently after she had her PC
repaired. she is also running Windows XP.
  Ok so here goes:

When she is typing in the body of an E-mail, if she wants to go back to make
an amendment or correction, or just to arrow up or down to read through what
she has written, jaws will not read the message at all, apart, that is from the
first couple of lines of text, after that, nothing! However, if she is replying
to something, she can read all the messages underneath by arrowing down, just
not the body of the current message she is writing - a weird one I know, but
has anyone any ideas as to what's happening here? I know the version of jaws
she is running is somewhat out of date to say the least, but it was working for
her up until recently.

She has no difficulty reading text in other appplications such as word, it is
just when composing her E-mails. I'm thinking there could be some kind of jaws
setting may need changing but it is years since I did any jaws training so
thought I'd run it by you guys on this list.

I do hope someone can help.

  Cheers.

  Erica
