I would only disagree with this, if they are both in hearing range at the same
time. If they are, you'd need to change the wake word on one of them.

You don't need to give them different names. But you can't control two devices
with the one remote.

Hi all,
Forgive these questions but I really don't have time or energy to join the
appropriate list, and this should be a one-off.
If anyone uses both in their home, are you able to help with the following,
please:
When I set up the .dot for the first time, do I need to give it a
different name for the setting than that which I use for the Echo? (In
other words, is there a conflict if they both own the same name?) In
addition, I haven't purchased a handset for the .dot, just hoping that
the ECHO one will be sufficient for both. Does anyone know if this is so
or do I have to order a separate one?
