Hi Carol,

Rechargeables are OK but you must ensure that option is chosen in the settings menu.

The BC won't give you a battery level with rechargeables and you get no warning when they are about to give out. But you can live with all this.

Good luck - it's a really great device and may you enjoy many hours of happy listening.

Ray

Subject: [access-uk] A BOOK COURIER QUESTION

Hi everyone,

May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy 2006?

I had a Book Courier for Christmas and am very pleased with it. I
notice though that it's quite hungry for batteries, especially with
music, so am thinking about rechargeable. I know the manual refers to
some "unpredictable behaviour" with rechargeables but says they can be
used. I wonder if anyone has any experience of this that they'd like to
pass on before I decide to go that route?
