Hello Ray and others. I haven't been following this thread much, but I just
phoned 195 Dir enq on Virgin and got the number in Birmingham at once. What I
find quite often is that whereas one operator can't find the number another one
can. As someone said, crazy.

Cheers

Ron

Yes, and as I've said, I'm pretty certain 200 is a BT number; but in
any case, shouldn't 195 give you the number, BT or not?

I've alerted Action for Blind People in Birmingham about this, so they
should look into it.

Cheers,

Crazy,

I just typed the following into Google

+"Action for blind people" +Birmingham

and the second entry that came up was:

Action for Blind People Birmingham 6th Floor, Galbraith
House, 141 Great Charles Street Birmingham B3 3LG Telephone:
0121 200 3939

FYI, the first was: (Note the link!!)

Action For Blind People
www.rnib.org.uk

58-72 John Bright St
Birmingham, B1 1BN
0121 665 4200

George.

Hi Ray

Just tried it for you with BT Directory Enquiries on 195,
and they couldn't
give me the number either.

I would phone their London HQ and ask to either be put
through to the
Birmingham office, if they can transfer you, or request a
number and advise
them it isn't available under the method you and I have just
tried.
Alternatively, perhaps their website will list different
offices somewhere.

Jackie
