I don’t know. I use the discount at Carbonic, but that is just me. They are a
great value even without the discount. I think the focus should be on true
sponsors who give the club stuff to support a function and we provide a sign or
some such to show they did.

It was kind of a big deal this year (thankfully now solved), and it's a burden
on whoever holds office next year to get cards issued accurately.
That said, in a simpler organization it would be basically one person
responsible for the cards (treasurer), so maybe it wouldn't be that hard. And
since most members aren't paying members, we could probably do cards
"on-request" -- avoiding the current situation of having lots of cards for
people who never come to meetings.
I'm inclined to leave things as written now -- no membership cards -- but I'll
admit that's mostly laziness. Do you think I should update the charter draft
to keep the membership cards for Active Members?

I checked in with Reed about the Saratoga Zymurgist discount. Apparently Don
and I are the only two people *ever* to have used the discount. He's not
comfortable offering a discount to people on a verbal claim of being members,
so we won't have any club discount at SZ.
I called carbonic and was promised a call back, but go figure, nothing. I'll
try again.
