College of Health and Human Sciences at Purdue University West Lafayette 
invites applications for tenure-track assistant professor positions in the area 
of public health and care inequities, as part of a cluster hiring initiative in 
Public Health, Health Policy, and Health 
Equity<https://www.purdue.edu/provost/diversity/equity/cluster.html>. This is 
the first wave of a larger, multi-year cluster hiring initiative that aims to 
expand Purdue’s research enterprise, add to the range of perspectives of our 
faculty, and promote a supportive community for all students. Alongside several 
other ongoing initiatives, this program evinces Purdue’s strong commitment to

 The faculty member will be expected to conduct research and teach courses that 
enhance or complement the School’s priority area of public health and care 
inequities, including but not limited to:

• emerging public health initiatives

• care inequities

• health policy and regulation

• maternal and child health

• health disparities

• health behaviors

• wellness and care of vulnerable populations across the life span



Qualifications:

• PhD in nursing or a related field

• Bachelor’s in Nursing (Masters in Nursing is preferred)

• Eligibility for RN licensure in Indiana
