Sounds like it may be your fan or your hard drive.  I hope it's just
your fan.  Open up the pc and see where the noise is coming from.
That'll end all the suspense.

I have a 4 year old computer, it makes atrocious
noises when it is booted up, and my benchmarks are
unbelievably low(off the scale in the negative..lol)..Lynda
