My brother is running a XP Home 2GHZ box with 512 MB of ram and an 80 GB HD
(almost empty). He only uses it for online chats, internet surfing, email, and
IM.
He usually runs it with AIM & MSN Messenger on and surfing, online chatting
(web based). And has done so for almost a year with no problems. In the last
couple of weeks though he has been getting a running out of virtual memory
error message. He gets it every 2 or 3 days and there doesn't seem to be any
pattern to it. His AV is updated, no spyware, IM clients areupdated, and all
temp files/cookies/history have been dumped. And he is still getting the error.
Any ideas as to what else I can try? Any help/suggestions is appreciated.
