Barry, I have run Ad-Aware and another called Spybot, neither found any spyware. I've tried PCbutts advice and defragged (did this last a about a month ago), and disabled Fix-it, although my AV runs with this. I'll see how it goes. I've been trying out a few freeware AVs since InnoculateIT stopped, was using Avast for a good while, but I'm not sure if thats a good choice. Thanks for the advice Helen ----- Original Message ----- From: Barry Cornford <cornyb@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <24hoursupport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, August 17, 2002 8:49 AM Subject: [24hoursupport] Re: Windows Explorer behaving strangely > > You could Download and try a program called > Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftUSA.com > It removed Spyware from you computer > If you do have any it could be slowing things down > > > - Users can unsubscribe from this list by sending email to 24hoursupport-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Web interface at http://web.tampabay.rr.com/spider1/24hrsupport.htm.
