Windows XP? If not, you may need to adjust how you get to a command prompt
but commands remain the same.

Rename the updated file to oleaut32.new and put it in you system 32 folder.
Reboot and when the PC starts it's boot up, press up and down on the F8 key
until you get a boot menu. Boot to a command prompt. When you get to the
command prompt, type CD \ and hit enter. Now type CD WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 and
hit enter. Next type RENAME oleaut32.dll to oleaut32.old and hit enter.
Now you can type RENAME oleaut32.new to oleaut32.dll and hit enter. Reboot
back to normal mode.

Subject: [24hoursupport] Re: OpenOffice install problem

I found out I have to download an updated version of oleaut32.dll and
replace the outdated one in System folder, to fix the OpenOffice install
error. Windows says it's in use and cannot be replaced or unzipped to. I
have a Microsoft MS-DOS book but don't seem to see precisely how to do it in
DOS. Any idea how to do this?
