[24hoursupport] New modem and USB cards, unable to boot

I have just installed a new modem and USB 2.0 card and now I'm unable to 
boot up a WIN XP Home system. I was able to install the software for the 
USB card, but not for the modem.

Anyone had experience with this problem? Can you guide me to a good source 
on the web for self help?

I have a second computer so getting on the web is no problem.
